"When I first created the Senses series it was a conversation about having autonomy over your body. Control. The pieces were missing something. The more I looked at it, I realized there was an opportunity for me to lose that control in my art piece. The mouth is really the portal to the body and we are not always disciplined about what we eat, say, or partake in. I’ve been guilty many times. The loss of control in one area of our body or life can take over others and I’m showcasing that here." - Tachiya Renee
